Our church has Valentines banquets every year. When my kids were growing up, the youth banquet was a very big wing-ding. In 1999, the banquet had a Renaissance theme. This is daughter Nina in a huge dress. I sewed it and if I remember, it went together so easily. Another church member had cleaned out her shed and given us several bolts of satin. I think this dress used about 12 yards of it.
