I got this little toile egg and stand at a thrift store operated by my parents church in East Texas. It was really cute but seemed a little blah, so I got out a can of black spray paint....
After
It took one minute to spray paint that clear base and I think it looks so much better. The black base sets off the black toile on the egg now.
Terri over at PennyAnnPoundwise also used a little paint for a quick makeover on a bowl.
i have to agree with you that the black base sets off the toile MUCH better than the other.
