Week 31

Yes, I am still here - just busy with other stuff and not getting around to blogging.
I'm sure you all know about days like these.

Purchases
We stopped at Food Pyramid on the way home from church just to get their green beans, corn on the cob and orange juice that was on sale. But then we walked by the meat counter and saw the meat man had just marked down lots Black Angus ground sirloin to 99 cents a pound. So, I got 4 big family packs, about 28 pounds total. While Jeff was outside smoking chicken and ribs, I was inside, dealing with this meat. I made a big pot of chili and a big batch of taco meat. I froze all of it into meal size portions. We'll use some it and Jimmy will take some it back to school.
I also made 24 patties for hamburgers, froze 4 pound portions, and cooked up a bunch for Theo-sized meal portions.
Our dog Theo is a sweetie but he won't eat dog food. For his supper, he gets 2 slices of bread mixed with about 1/2 pound of cooked meat like burger, chicken or turkey. He also has a bowl of milk before he goes to bed and a few slices of cheese and dog treats during the day.
