After I hung up the new clothespin bag in the laundry room, I decided to do a little more sprucing up in there. But this room is so tiny, there is not much that can or should be done in there.
This little house quilt was made by mother in 1994.
My aprons are hanging from a little shelf that I just painted red.
I keep laundry detergent in the Lance jar. Way back when I was young, the gas stations sold just a few snack items. Most of them had 4 of those Lance jars on a stand and they held peanut butter and cheese cracker snacks. My dad is sort of a junk collector and he got a set of these Lance jars, I guess from a gas station that was either updating or closing down. My parents still have the other 3.
When my children were young, we kept snacks like Little Debbies and yogurt covered raisins in the Lance jar.

I love your laundry room! You've inspired me to brighten up my own!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very cute laundry room! Mine gets so dusty when I clean out my lint trap... If I had a cute runner on the top like that it would be fuzzy :( You have inspired me to cute it up some though!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! Love the range of colors and the red makes everything pop. You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda,I like the way you have decorated the laundry room ... it looks cozy and warm..I have a big picture of Elvis Presley on a wall in my laundry room..my husband would not let me hang him up anywhere else in the house..Elvis has bedroom eyes and I love looking at him everyday in my special spot..

Even a small space can be made to look great and your laundry room does! I love the aprons all hanging like that. I have my wash powder in a glass jar too. I love doing laundry and think having a laundry room decorated nicely is very important. Did you see my changes to mine on my blog?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt from your mother. It works perfectly in your laundry room too!
Hugs ~

I like your laundry room. Our new condo is the first place I've lived in for a long time that has a true laundry space instead of the laundry in a closet. Unfortunately, the room is an unfinished basement. I'm working to make the area a pleasant space to work in. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice place to be! Love the quilt!
