This is my china doll. It was made just for me by my grandmother and great-grandmother. My great grandmother made the dress and I wish you all could see the quality of her sewing.
Can you see the tiny lavender rick rack that edges the ruffle at her neck? There is more rick rack around the skirts ruffle and on her sun bonnet.
She has a sun-bonnet
a lace petticoat
and even lace bloomers.
I don't remember ever naming her, she is just the china doll.

That is such a beautiful doll. The dress is very pretty, you must be very proud of her.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing and have a wonderful weekend !!
She is beautiful but you should name her....something old...her dress is so pretty...
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure! I would name her an old name as well.
ReplyDeleteI like to think I got my sewing abilities from my grandma, but I'm no where near as talented. I know I got my love of sewing from her. Looks like you got talent and love of sewing from your grandmothers.
ReplyDeleteI love all the detail! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely lovely. What work and love went into her. Such a well dressed lady!!!!
