toile napkins

I liked how these cloth napkins turned out so much, I made 15 of them! I don't expect to have a dinner party for 15 but Jeff and I pretty much use cloth napkins all the time. And I like everything to match.
The inspiration for the polka dot binding came from this blog, PurlBee.
I used Alicia's binding tutorial and really liked making the straight binding.

  1. Thanks so much for directing me to this tutorial. This is how I make my quilt bindings, except I don't have the little thing she uses. I got my instructions from the back of a Thimbleberries book. I was thinking about using this on napkins and the edges of the opening on my clothespin bags. So many ideas , so little time.... :o)

  2. I forgot to tell you how much I LOVE the napkins. Ours are all mismatched, using scraps, etc. I would love to have all the same fabric like yours. They look great!

  5. The napkins are so adorable! They really did turn out great. If you decide you have too many just make some more and sew them together to make a super cool quilt!
